Manchester’s rising indie-rock trio The Falls return with new single ‘Open Fire’ on April 10th.
Hot off the press with a fresh new record deal, Indie upstarts 'The Falls' have wasted no time in 2026. New single 'Open Fire' is a statement of intent and is brimming with the youthful tenacity that only a mancunian band can possess. Formed against the backdrop of jangling guitars and northern grit, the band lightly holster their influences whilst carving their own unique sound. Following a breakout 2025 that saw their scrappy, high-energy EP ‘VIVA LA FALLS’ pulling in over 71,000 streams, the band are already pushing forward. A newly announced UK tour — including a sold-out homecoming at Gulliver’s — only adds to the sense that things are moving quickly for The Falls right now.
Before you have time to breathe, "Open Fire" throws you into the deep end, with lead guitarist Joel Quirk grabbing you by the scruff of the neck and welcoming you into the chaos. The familiar and unique vocals of Harrison Sharp cut through the track, delivering an energy that makes it easy to imagine a room bouncing along to it. Through the track, the indie trio pull in new fans with a raw, no-frills statement of their youthful Mancunian energy, scrappily and self-assuredly kicking off their 2026 on their own terms.
‘Open Fire’ is out on the 10th of April.
